Project objective

Design a mobile platform that connects urban drivers with secure, nearby parking while enabling homeowners to monetize unused garage space. The goal: solve a real pain point with a seamless, safe, and intuitive user experience.

My rol

I led the UX/UI design from research to final mockups—defining user flows, creating the visual identity, and building a scalable design system. My focus: deliver a clear, accessible, and valuable experience for both drivers and property owners.

Issues

Many people live in rental housing and, with some luck, find the perfect combination: a suitable apartment and a parking space. However, this is not always the case. Due to time constraints, lack of information, or budget limitations, many end up parking on the street, exposing themselves to risk, theft, or fines. In other cases, property owners might have private garages that remain unused simply because they are unaware of the needs in their neighborhood—or don’t know how to offer them securely.

  • Pain Point: She often returns late from work or college and has difficulty finding parking in the area. She is concerned about safety and vandalism to her car.

  • Current Behavior: She improvises parking on the street or in areas that feel unsafe.

  • Screens Used: Login, search results, map display, garage booking confirmation.

She needs to find a secure place to park her car daily, close to her rented apartment.

Ariel Guirao
  • Age: 38 years
  • Profession: Architect - Owner
  • Location: Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires

  • Pain Point: He would like to rent it out safely, but doesn’t want to deal with physical key handovers or unreliable tenants.

  • Motivation: Earn passive income from unused space, without the hassle of traditional rentals.

  • Screens Used: Garage registration, profile setup, rental management dashboard.

Insight

He owns a property with an unused garage. He likes to take care of the environment and considers walking or biking the best way to get around.

The idea

Many homeowners have an unused garage or parking spot. Meanwhile, urban drivers struggle daily to find safe, convenient parking. This project bridges that gap: it connects people who need parking with those who have it.

The concept is simple—yet powerful: "Share your unused space, earn income. Park safely and save time."

It’s a win-win for two pain points:
  • The tenant finds a safe, nearby parking space.
  • The homeowner monetizes idle property.
